Cabaret afficiondos from all over Australia, and indeed the world descended on the capital of South Australia for the Fourth Annual Adelaide Cabaret Festival, a feast of cabaret which ran over sixteen nights from June 11th to 26th. This year more than 400 artists appeared at the The Adelaide Festival Centre in 175 shows presented in eight separate venues which have been set up around the Festival Centre for the event. These range from the 2000 seat Festival Theatre itself to the intimate Space, which seats a little less than 100 patrons. With the exception of the Space, all these venues were equipped with baby grand pianos and excellent sound and lighting facilities. Most are set up to allow patrons to be seated at candlelit tables.
