Cabaret
afficiondos from all over Australia, and indeed the world descended
on the capital of South Australia for the Fifth Annual Adelaide
Cabaret Festival, a feast of cabaret which ran over sixteen nights
from June 10th to 25th. Over 16 days, it offers some 220 performances
of more than 70 different shows, involving more than 380 performers.
In 2004, more than 39,000 people attended shows during the festival,
and 79 shows were completely sold out. 2005 is expected to exceed
those statistics.
