Cabaret afficiondos from all over Australia, and indeed the world descended on the capital of South Australia for the Sixth Annual Adelaide Cabaret Festival, a feast of cabaret which ran from June 9th to 24th. It offers some 200 performances over 16 memorable nights including 10 Premieres. Highlights of the Festival include the New York Series IV with performances by legendary film, stage, TV and musical actor Mandy Patinkin, the gorgeous Broadway star Christine Andreas, and well as the king of romance Engelbert Humperdinck. In 2005, more than 50,000 people attended shows during the festival, and 79 shows were completely sold out.
