Cabaret afficiondos from all over Australia, and indeed the world descended on the capital of South Australia for the Seventh Annual Adelaide Cabaret Festival, a feast of cabaret which ran from June 8th to 23rd. It offered no fewer than 450 artists from New York, Paris, London, Germany, Canada and of course Australia. On offer were 178 performances of 68 different shows. In 2007, more than 50,000 people attended shows during the festival, and nearly all shows were completely sold out.
