After his critically acclaimed New York debut last summer, Jaron Vesely returns to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 - ) with his new show, "Something Good!" on Saturday, March 6th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 14th at 7:00 pm. "Something Good" is a show celebrating the wisdom of innocence and the desires of youth. Vesely, a member of the Bistro Award Winning Fabulous Pink Flamingos, presents an eclectic set for his second solo show, featuring songs by Cole Porter, Dolly Parton, Freddie Mercury, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Paul Simon, and others. Scott Bradlee, mashup jazz pianist extraordinaire of YouTube fame, returns as musical director and co-arranger. Russell Taylor, known on the New York cabaret scene for his award winning work with The Fabulous Pink Flamingos, directs. Proceeds from the performances go to benefit Marriage Equality. Marianne Challis hosts a fast-paced, joyous evening with great singing for a great cause on Thursday, March 11th at 7:00 pm at THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATER (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909). She is joined in the show, "Chasin' The Blues Away - 2010!" by vocalists Kevin Dozier, Laurie Krauz, Reagan Stone and Lisa Viggiano. Musical director is Daryl Kojak and director is Scott Barnes. Proceeds from the show will go to BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS . There is a $25 cover plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

NYC: NATALIE DOUGLAS CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH
RESCHEDULED FROM FEBRUARY 27th

A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT

Award-winning vocalist Natalie Douglas, along with The Broadway All-Stars band led by Musical Director, Tedd Firth, celebrate the songs & stories connected to the rich history of African-Americans at LORENZO'S RESTAURANT, BAR & CABARET (1100 South Avenue, Staten Island, NY - 718-477-2400 x5 - ) on Friday, March 19th at 9:30 pm. The Broadway All-Stars will include Ritt Henn on bass, Joe Choroszewski on drums and Patience Higgins on reeds. She will be joined on stage by backup vocalists Tanya Holt & Carmen Keels. Natalie will revisit the eras, the milestones and the music in a not-to-be-missed concert celebrating Black History Month, featuring tunes like "Wade In The Water," "Four Women," "Why?," and of course, "A Change Is Gonna Come." The proceeds from the show will go to aid Haiti through a direct donation to Doctors Without Borders. There is a cover of $35 ($50:VIP) and a $15 food/drink minimum.
