NYC: MIKE SCHUIL PUTS HIS TOES IN THE SAND AT THE DUPLEX
A MARCH IS CABARET MONTH EVENT

Vocalist Mike Schuil brings his show "Toes In The Sand" to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438) on Friday, March 19th at 7:00 pm. The show marks Mike Schuil's return to New York cabaret for the first time since his well-received debut, "Songs From Across The River - Springsteen & Sinatra." This time he ventures a bit further afield from his native New Jersey for a mostly Brazilian evening of songs both lighthearted and dramatic. It's a warm, tropical breeze on a cold winter's night. Working with a trio of accomplished musicians (Wells Hanley on piano, Peter Brendler on bass, and Jeff Davis on drums) and teaming once again with director Gerry Geddes, Mike takes a big step forward as a cabaret performer. The show features songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stephen Bishop, Richard Rodney Bennett and others. Of course, not wanting to journey too far away from his roots, there will be a few Sinatra moments, and even a bit of Bruce. His smooth vocals combined with the simmering sounds of his trio promise that "Toes In The Sand" should be a delightful trip south of the border. There is a $15 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Friends and loved ones offer ongoing support but so much more professional help is needed for his rehabilitation - and survival. Gregory Kennell has designed numerous graphic art for albums (Julie Reyburn, Craig Rubano, Marcus Simeone, etc.) as well as stunning logos and ads for numerous magazines, newspapers (including The NY Times, The Algonquin Hotel, etc.) and fliers. He is a gifted artist and craftsman and is highly regarded in his field. Greg also served as a board of director for MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets) for several years. There is a $25 cover ($50 VIP) plus a $15 food/drink minimum.

For those who cannot attend and/or would like to make a donation to help, please make checks payable to Geri Malino who is in charge of finances for the soon to be formed Gregory Kennelll Foundation.
