Natalie Douglas returns once again to THE DUPLEX CABARET THEATRE (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 1-212-255-5438) on New Year's Eve, December 31st at 8:00 pm. Her New Year's Eve performances with longtime Musical Director and Avenue Q Associate Conductor Mark Hartman have become a New York tradition. Natalie's New Year's performances are legendary for the intimacy, humor and creativity that she and Mark bring to the stage. Natalie has received seven MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Awards for Outstanding Female Vocalist including most recently, the 2008 MAC Award for Major Jazz Artist. She is a recipient of the 2008 Nightlife Award, the MAC Hanson (Critic's) Award and the Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Female Vocalist. In addition, Natalie's critically acclaimed CD, "Not That Different," was also MAC Award nominated for Outstanding Recording and is currently in its third printing. Vocalist Hilary Kole with Chico O'Farrill's Jazz Orchestra invite you to join them on Wednesday night, December 31st at 8:00 & 11:00 pm at BIRDLAND (315 West 44th Street, NYC - 212-581-3080) as they welcome in the New Year in true Birdland style! Arranger-bandleader Arturo "Chico" O' Farrill, Sr. began introducing Afro-Cuban rhythms into jazz in the 1940's. The band bearing Chico's name (directed by his son Arturo) continues the tradition. Tickets are $50 (8:00 pm show) and $70 (11:00 pm show) with a $20 food/drink minimum. A limited number of $40 bar seats are available.
New Year's Eve at the THE WEST BANK CAFE/LAURIE BEECHMAN THEATER (407 West 42nd Street, NYC - 212-695-6909) features a tantalizing dinner and a stellar show performed by two of New York's most exciting vocalists. Dinner gets things started with an array of appetizers, entrees and desserts (a special menu designed by Executive Chef Joe Marcus). Immediately following, award-winning vocalists Brandon Cutrell and Alysha Umphress take to the stage to ring in the New Year, backed by the Barry Levitt Trio. Expect standards from Johnny Mercer and Joni Mitchell, jazz tunes made famous by Dinah Washington and Billy Strayhorn as well as favorite holiday classics, all backed by an extraordinary three piece band. At midnight, the club will "cut live" to nearby Times Square, with all the festivities projected on their big screen. Seating is limited to 90 guests. Included in the price of each $125 ticket are complimentary hors' d'oeuvres, a three course buffet dinner, show, a midnight champagne toast, tax and gratuity. One of Walnut Creek's most popular downtown eateries, THE SAN FRANCISCAN RESTAURANT (1525 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA - 925-934-4831) brings 2008 to a close in genuine San Francisco style, with a New Year's Eve cabaret show starring legendary cabaret diva and Tony Award Nominee Sharon McNight on Wednesday, December 31st at 11:00 pm. McNight has long been associated with the Cabaret scene in San Francisco where she got her start and broke ground with her innovative shows and distinctive style. In New York, she created the role of Diva in the musical STARMITES, for which she received the Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway Debut and a Tony Award nomination as Best Leading Actress in a Musical. Since then, the singer/comedienne has played everywhere from Los Angeles to Berlin. Dinner/Show Package is $115 - some show-only seats are available at $40 (light supper menu will be available).

The night will will ring in the New Year in style, with main house spectacular acts, curios in the lobby and B-movie theatre in the basement! Perhaps best known for his television stints as host of such series as That's Incredible, The New Hollywood Squares, $100,000 Pyramid and The John Davidson Show, he appeared in several movies (The Happiest Millionaire, The One And Only Genuine Original Family Band, Airport 80, Edward Scissorhands, and The Squeeze) and has been a guest on The Tonight Show more than 80 times. Davidson has appeared in numerous Broadway shows and national touring productions (Foxy, The Will Rogers Follies, Chicago, The Music Man and Oklahoma), recorded 13 albums and headlined at such major Las Vegas showrooms as Caesar's Palace, the Las Vegas Hilton, the MGM Grand, and the Desert Inn.
