CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE #030909 - Monday, September 29, 2003
Since 1990 Your First, Best, and Only Complete Source of Cabaret News

If it's anything to do with cabaret, you'll probably read it here first!

This is a MONDAY Issue of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE which includes cabaret listings for around the world, and also includes information on all the banner ads running on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website. The MID-WEEK issue, usually sent on Thursdays, will concentrate more on news, breaking stories and notes and mini-reviews of shows seen, plus shows offering discounts to members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.

NEWS AND MORE NEWS ON THE WEBSITE!

It has really been a busy weekend! Not so much with cabaret shows seen as with adding new items to the BREAKING NEWS section of the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website (http://www.cabarethotlineonline.com/). 15 new items have been added, and I still have a number of additional items to ad after this issue goes out. If your press release has not appeared yet, please hang in there a little longer. The releases sent by e-mail can go up almost immediately, but the ones that come in by regular mail take considerably longer. And if there is a new photo to scan, that ads more time before your story appears.

By the way, if a show running a banner ad and/or is offering a discount to members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE, I try to get that item up as soon as possible.

How do you get an item posted in the BREAKING NEWS section of the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website (http://www.cabarethotlineonline.com/ )? Just e-mail me a press release of at least four paragraphs, giving the complete information on your show, CD release or other cabaret related event. Include photos in jpg or gif format if available.

Please send me complete information - and do not merely e-mail me a copy of your flier or a reference to a website. With two newsletters going out a week, I don't have enough time to look these things up, and often have to simply toss out incomplete items. By the way, I usually trim quotes from reviews from the press releases I receive before using the item on my website or in the newsletter, so don't count them when putting together the four or more paragraphs.

I'M LOOKING FOR EVEN MORE NEWS

I get plenty of show listings sent me - far more than I can possibly use - it is really difficult trying to choose which ones to run, which ones to keep. Sometimes the item itself makes this choice - incomplete information or just a scan of a flier, neither of which is useful to me. I would love to have more items from outside NYC, especially NEWS items - new venues opening, benefits, CD Releases, celebrations, etc. Add a website link if available.

PLANNING ON RUNNING A BANNER? BETTER PLACE YOUR ORDER TODAY!

BANNER AD spaces on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website are almost completely sold out for October - just a few slots left. Keep in mind, I limit the ads to 20 banners per week. Banner ads are displayed at random in two places on nearly all 2,500+ pages. This means your ad could be seen as many as 3,000 times each day, 21,000 times each week! You can run a banner for 2 weeks on CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE for just $80 - in full color - with a "live link" to your website, if applicable. That's before any member rebates or discounts. In addition, those running banners get mentioned every week in the MONDAY issue of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE e-mail newsletter (current circulation nearly 2,500) as long as the banner is running.

For information on banner ads, check out the banner information page on the CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE website (http://www.cabarethotlineonline.com/BannerHere.shtml), or simply send me a note at banners@svhamstra.com with the single word "Banner" in the subject line and I'll send all the details.
