2006 MEMBERS' CHOICE
OF THE SONGWRITERS' CHOICE
CABARET HOTLINE
ONLINE is now accepting nominations to find the MEMBERS CHOICE of
the SONGWRTITERS' CHOICE for favorite cabaret-style song developed
and created in the recent 5 or so years (we are a bit flexible on
the number of years because we realize that songs aren't written in
a January to December framework). We have contacted 70 songwriters
and asked them to submit their single favorite creation and the over
400 members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE will vote for their favorite
choice from the list of nominees starting on Monday, March 6th.
SONGWRITERS:
To make a nomination, just CLICK on the link below and you will be
taken to a form which you need to fill out. Be sure to enter the e-mail
address ueed in the address line of the special instruction e-mail
you recently received - that is your "password" since we will only
be accepting nominations from songwriters on our "official" list.
Fill out
the form and click on the SUBMIT button on the bottom. You may only
nominate one song - and only the first nomination received from you
e-mail address will be accepted, so choose carefully. You will be
receiving either a confirmation of your nomination or a note explaining
that there was a problem with your entry. We must have all nominations
by THURSDAY, MARCH 2nd, 2006.
You will
note that songwriters are not asked to enter the year the song was
written and/or introduced. CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE will trust their
judgement on this. And objections I receive from readers/members in
this regard will be forwarded to the songwriter for response.
The form
will ask songwriters to enter the official name of the song, as well
the name of the lyricist and composer (they both might be the same
name). Also included should be the exact URL of the songwriter's website
so members can visit for any additional information they might need
in making their choice.
Do not send
in sound samples, lyric sheets or mpgs of the song. Songwriters that
have a website might wish to have their web designer create a special
information page to include these items. Singwriters without a website
might want to include a link instead to CDBaby, LML, iTunes or similar
web page where information and sound samples of your nominated song
might be found.
NOTE:
If you are a songwriter and did not receive a special invitation by
e-mail to nominate a song, please send in an e-mail and we will send
the reuired information.
