CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE
2008-2009 MEMBERS' CHOICE
FAVORITE CONTEMPORARY
CABARET SONG AWARD

CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE is now finished accepting nominations to find the MEMBERS CHOICE of the favorite contemporary cabaret song - written for the post-1946 Great American Songbook. Nominations and voting could only be made by 2007-2008 members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE. Unlike the poll of last year, songwriters were not permitted to submit their own songs. They were permitted to submit someone else's creation and are permitted to vote on all songs on the final ballot, including their own, if they wish. We only accepted nominations from 2008-2009 members of CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE.
In this MEMBERS' CHOICE poll, members were asked to choose their favorite "contemporary cabaret song." The song should be one that any performer can use as part of their show - not special material written for a particular performer.
A ballot containing the songs which have been nominated will be sent by e-mail to all 2008-2009 CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE members of record as of September 3, 2008 for voting. The voting will be done by e-mail in September - deadline for the return of ballots is midnight, Friday September 19th. The top 3 choices will be announced as quickly as possible after Wednesday, October 1, 2008.
Non-members may join before September 3rd and will be able to make
nominations as soon as they receive acknowledgment that their payment
has been received (and, if applicable), their check has cleared. Just
click on the JOIN HERE button at the top of every page for all information, including
a PayPal link that lets you join instantly with an e-check, or a credit/debit
card.
NOMINATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER MIDNIGHT
ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2008
