 Jackie Fornatale is bringing back her critically acclaimed tribute celebrating 51 years with Motown in November at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - ) with one additional special encore performance on Thursday, March 18th at 8:30 pm. Songs in the show include favorites from The Supremes, the Temps, the Tops, Stevie, Smokey, Martha & the Vandellas, The Marvalettes and The Jackson 5 - and more. The show features Gerry Dieffenbach as Musical Director, with Liz Lark Brown on Vocals, Mike Fornatale on Guitar and Vocals, Matt Lindsey on Bass and Eddy Zweiback on Drums. Lennie Watts directs.  Gretchen Reinhagen's "Special Kaye: A Tribute to the Incomparable Kaye Ballard" has been invited to continue its run at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440 ). Performances of "Special Kaye" continue monthly, with the next performances scheduled for Saturday, March 27th at 5:00 pm (in lieu of an April performance); Saturday, May 1st at 7:30 pm; and Saturday, June 19th at 7:30 pm. Beginning with the June performance, "Special Kaye" will fall into a regular recurring spot on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 7:30 pm. The extension follows the successful opening night premiere at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs, CA on November 13, 2009 and a three-night opening run at the Metropolitan Room, which was later extended through February 4th. The critically acclaimed show earned Gretchen the 2010 Nightlife Award in the category of Outstanding Cabaret Comedy or Characterization. "Special Kaye: A Tribute to the Incomparable Kaye Ballard" is directed by Barry Kleinbort, who has also written special material and directed shows for Ms. Ballard including "Kaye Ballard - Working 42nd Street at Last" at the Kaufman Theater in New York. Musical Director for the show is David Gaines. "Special Kaye" honors the vast library of musical material recorded by, originated by, or written specifically for Ms. Ballard. Audiences have long known Ballard for her work on such programs as "The Mothers-in-Law" but may be surprised to learn of the many great musical gems that she introduced throughout her Broadway and cabaret career.  Cabaret legend Sharon McNight makes her hotly anticipated return to THE METROPOLITAN ROOM (34 West 22nd Street, NYC - 212-206-0440) beginning Saturday March 13th at 9:45 pm, setting off a weeklong explosion of good cheer and bonhomie. Her new show, "Sharon McNight: The First 30 Years," plays a total of seven performances over a two-weekends through Monday March 22nd. "Sharon McNight: The First 30 Years," an introspective retrospective from Moose Hall to Carnegie Hall (and all the gin joints on the way), features music director Ian Herman on piano. In the program, McNight shares her quixotic experiences from performing on a stage of stacked beer cases in San Francisco's Castro District to starring on Broadway in "Starmites," with important pit stops to the Reno Rodeo and the Frankfort Opera House. The show schedule is Saturday March 13th at 9:45 pm; Sunday March 14th at 9:30 pm; Monday March 15th at 9:30 pm; Friday March 19th at 9:45 pm; Saturday March 20th at 7:30 pm; Sunday March 21st at 7:00 pm; and Monday March 22nd at 9:30 pm. "Under The Covers" is a series in which each show features a different artist performing their favorite record album from start to finish. On Monday, March 15th, performers/covers are: 7:00 pm: Carole J Bufford sings Randy Newman's "Lonely at the Top"; 7:30 pm: The Lounge-O-Leers sing The Who's "Tommy"; 9:30 pm: Wendy A Russell sings Barbra Streisand's "People".  After a very successful run with his, "Marlene & Noel" show at THE TRIAD, John Patrick Hart will go solo with his new show, "Mad About The Boy ... Celebrating Noel Coward" at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788) for one night only, on Saturday, March 27th at 6:00 pm. The year is 1954 and Noel is preparing for his coming Las Vegas 'gig'. He is rehearsing with his new musical director, played by Stephen Cornine, and sings such favorites as: Mad Dogs and Englishmen, Don't Put Your Daughter On The Stage Missus Worthington, Someday I'll Find You, Sail Away and other tunes including including the title song, Mad About The Boy. Directed by Collette Black, the performance includes memories of Noel's opening night at the Las Vegas Sands, during which he also does Edith Piaf, Marlene Deitrich, and even Tallulah.
