New Show Features Songs from the 40s

Singer/actress Gerta Grunen's new show," Accentuate the Positive - Accent on the 40s!" will be presented at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) on Sundays at 6:15 pm September 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th. The show will feature songs of the 40s - from Broadway, Hollywood, Big Bands & the Popular Song books. The musical director is Christopher Denny, with David Arthur serving as writer/director.

Gerta's previous cabaret shows are "A Jewish Girl's Christmas," A Lighter Shade of Weill - Kurt Weill's American music," "Cole Porter Ninety Stories High" and "Under The Apple Tree." She has appeared at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM, DON'T TELL MAMA, EIGHTY EIGHTS, THE DUPLEX, 55 GROVE STREET, Lincoln Center's BRUNO WALTER AUDITORIUM, Donnell Library Auditorium and JAN WALLMAN'S. Gerta has also appeared as an actress off-Broadway and in several TV dramas.

There is a $12.00 cover charge - $10.00 food/drink minimum. Credits Cards accepted. Pre-Show dining applies to minimum. MAC, NYSMS & TRU one/half cover.
