Sue Matsuki & Gregory Toroian in "Team Work" at Judy's Chelsea

Sue Matsuki and musical director Gregory Toroian, who recently released a triumphant debut CD called "A New Take," now join forces with creative director Carolyn Montgomery in a stunning presentation called "Team Work." The show will be presented at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) on Wednesdays, December 5th and 19th at 8:30 pm.

"Team Work" highlights the often overlooked point of any cabaret performer's ultimate experience, "JOY" - joy in collaboration with other artists, joy in rehearsal, joy in risk and joy in performance. In addition, Ms. Matsuki knows that it takes more than a performer to create a cabaret show. Her directors, musicians, venue personnel, technicians and the audience are all a part of her team.

Sue Matsuki is a cabaret veteran and an enthusiastic and courageous explorer of the genre. During the last 15 years, she has appeared in Manhattan at Arci's Place, The Village Gate, Danny's Skylight Room, Don't Tell Mama, Judy's Chelsea, The Duplex, Jan Wallman's, Rose's Turn, Kelly's, Eighty-Eight's, and at the Gardenia in Los Angeles. Matsuki has collaborated with a number of directors and musicians and has explored a wide range of themes and musical styles all as an exercise in growth. Critics agree that Matsuki's hard work and obvious devotion to cabaret provide her with a wisdom and polish that only performers who are willing to "put in the miles" acquire.

Since each show contains entirely different musical material, newcomers to cabaret would be well served to attend both performances of "Team Work," to witness Matsuki's poise, generosity of spirit, dynamic vocals and to see the "new take" she will give to her stories each week.
