Deian McBryde's EXTRAVAGANZA! debuts at the Duplex

Deian McBryde's EXTRAVAGANZA! debuts on October 15th and 18th Introducing The Pretty Girl Orchestra and Special Guest Stars

Starring popular cabaret and jazz artist, Deian McBryde, EXTRAVAGANZA! also includes special guest appearances by some of NYC's best and brightest nightclub entertainers -- on stage together at the famed DUPLEX (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438). Shows are scheduled for 7:30 pm on Monday, October 15th and Thursday, October 18th. There is a $10 cover charge and 2-drink minimum.

On Monday, October 15th, the spotlight is on musical theater and cabaret. Guests are Michael Vaccaro (two-time MAC nominee) - Jade Esteban Estrada (Latin pop sensation) and the devilishly divine Joan Crowe ("she'll go anywhere for a joke") and others. Tracy Stark is on piano.

On Thursday, October 18th, Jazz standards are on the menu. Guests include Karen Mack ("one of the best song-stylists in town") - Tracy Stark ("captivating, goosebump-raising") - Sue Matsuki ("Shakes the blues away!") and KJ Denhert (the Queen of The 55 Bar). Also he will be introducing "Deian McBryde's Pretty Girl Orchestra," with Ursel Schlicht (piano), Michael Evans (drums) and Travis DiRuzza (bass).

Unlike most cabarets, this is a full 90-minute show. Also, DON JULIO TEQUILA is a sponsor of the event and will provide one COMPLIMENTARY DON JULIO PREMIUM MARGARITA for each person in the audience (which will count toward the 2 drink minimum).

Deian McBryde has appeared across the US, Europe, Canada and Australia. His debut CD, Mollyboy, was a #1 album on the Outvoice music charts and he was also named one of Girlfriends Magazine's "America's Men We Love." Deian is the 2001 Outmusician of the Year, an three-time OMA award nominee, and the recipient of a prestigious Music/Omi residency fellowship.
