JOHN MEYER TO HOST BENEFIT FOR TIMES SQUARE GROUP AUGUST 8th

John Meyer will host piano bar, with K.T. Sullivan & Mark Nadler (2001 Drama Desk Award nominees), Leila Martin (Original Cast, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA) and surprise guests for an intimate evening of Manhattan, Midweek, Midsummer-night's Magic! All proceeds from the event will go to foster programs provided by THE TIMES SQUARE GROUP (http://www.timessquaregroup.org/), a not-for-profit theater company dedicated to empowering teens and pre-teens by involving them in the creation of theater. Tickets are $150.00 - $75.00 of which is tax deductible. All proceeds from the silent auction or additional donations are totally tax deductible.

The event will be held on August 8th at CLUB METROPOLITAN (30th floor - Metropolitan Towers, 146 West 57th Street, NYC). There will be hors d'oeuvres, a premium open bar and a silent auction (including theater tickets) on the terrace at 6:30 pm. A full course sit-down dinner with choice of menu and selected wines will follow in the dining room at 8:00 pm. Attendees, who would like to take the mike will be invited to do so as time permits.

John Meyer has written for Eartha Kitt, Judy Garland and Lily Tomlin. His noir musical, "The Betrayal of Nora Blake" played to raves in London and, this spring, at The Cuillo Centre for the Arts in West Palm Beach. The show will open in New York later this season.
