"THE SEASON"
THE SMASH HIT BROADWAY CABARET
RETURNS TO THE TRIAD THEATRE FOR TWO PERFORMANCES ONLY IN ANTICIPATION OF A
MAJOR THEATRICAL EVENT THIS FALL

"THAT BROADWAY FROLICS SHOW", A MUSICAL REVUE
WILL PLAY TWO PERFORMANCES IN REPERTOIRE BEGINNING
MARCH 2, 2001

"The Season," the critically acclaimed, award winning cabaret series is returning for a limited run at the THE TRIAD (158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590) for two performances only beginning Friday, March 2, 2001 at 10:30 pm. A tribute to the golden era of Broadway, each episode of "The Season" takes a look back, through song and anecdote, at a different season in Broadway history.

Performing in reparatory with "The Season" will be "That Broadway Frolics Show," a "Mickey and Judy" take on the Broadway musicals of the 1940s. Originally scheduled to open at MICHAEL'S PUB at the Renaissance Hotel (Seventh Avenue between 47th & 48th Streets, NYC - 212-758-2272) "Broadway Frolics" was one of last years most talked about cabaret shows.

"The Season" and "That Broadway Frolics Show" will both feature Brady Schwind, Kate Jetmore, and Brian Hurley. Brady Schwind has extensive New York, touring and regional credits that include THE SECRET GARDEN, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, JAMES DEAN, PSYCHO BEACH PARTY and SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION. Kate Jetmore's impressive resume includes the National Tour of TITANIC, the new musical ELEANOR at Ford's Theatre (CD recording), and THE APPRENTICESHIP OF BUDDY KRAVITZ for Alan Menken. Brian Hurley is an acclaimed musical director and composer, whose New York credits include GROUCHO, and the cult soap opera, "Love of Life."

"The Season" was awarded the prestigious Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Production.

The spring run of "The Season" will act as a preview for "The Season 2001," a major theatrical event planned for Fall, 2001. In an absolutely unprecedented event, "The Season 2001" will, in true marathon style, perform excerpts from each of the 55 Broadway seasons that played New York between 1945 and 2000. The public performance of a musical number from every single new musical that opened on Broadway over a fifty-five year period marks not only a major theatrical event, but an incredible tribute to the history of the American Musical Theatre.

"The Season" preview will be performed Friday, March 9th (reviewing the 1950-51 season) and Friday, March 23rd (reviewing the 1960-61 season). "That Broadway Frolics Show" will be performed Friday, March 2nd, and Friday, March 16th.

All performances will be at 10:30 pm. There will be a $10 dollar music charge, with a two drink minimum.
