THE VERY WORST OF VARLA JEAN MERMAN!
NEW LAUGHS, SONGS AND LIFE LESSONS
Two Shows at CLUB CAFE in BOSTON

Direct from sold-out crowds in New York City, "The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman!," written and performed by Jeffery Roberson, comes to CLUB CAFE'S Moonshine Room (209 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA - 617-536-0966 - http://www.clubcafe.com/) on Sunday, June 3rd (7:00 pm and 9:00 pm). Featuring new laughs, life lessons, songs and videos, proceeds from this "hilariously funny" (New York Times) evening will go to support the PRIDELiGHTS Foundation - a non-profit organization committed to eliminating homophobia through collaborative efforts between the gay and straight communities.

Having conquered the nightclub and theater worlds of New York and San Francisco with humor both wise and shameless and a Himalayan vocal range, Varla Jean says, "Many of you, like me, are School of Hard Knockers - But I still have a thing or two to teach even the most jaded cosmopolitan. Learn from my life-altering, devastating mistakes!" By the time you leave Varla, you'll know in your heart how you can make each day of your life better than "The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman!"

Winning critical acclaim as Mary Sunshine in the Tony award-winning musical Chicago, Varla Jean Merman is the creation of actor Jeffery Roberson. The flamed-tressed, six-foot-two Varla Jean is the purported love-child of the minutes-long marriage between Ethel Merman and Ernest Borgnine. Varla combines the fiery good looks of Ann Margaret, the decolletage of Dolly Parton, the voice of Joan Sutherland, and a comedic punch uniquely her own. Varla Jean has ventured far beyond the standard drag act into the realm of true theater claiming as her own the heights heretofore reached only by such greats as Lypsinka and Dame Edna Everage. Even celebrities themselves have become huge fans of Varla, including Sir Elton John who says he "Loves Varla's show," Rupaul and comic writer/performer Bruce Vilanch.

Featuring completely new laughs, life lessons, the multimedia cabaret act, "The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman!," written and performed by Jeffery Roberson, takes the stage at Club Cafe's Moonshine Room (209 Columbus Avenue, Boston) Sunday, June 3rd (7:00 pm & 9:00 pm). Tickets are $30.00 (first 4 rows); $25.00 all other seats. Proceeds to benefit the Bridge Building Work of PRIDELiGHTS Foundation.
