"LEFT, OUT, ..... AND
NOT RIGHT!" is an evening of laughter, combining humorous monologues,
original characters, music and stand-up comedy into a fun-filled look
at life through the eyes of a liberal (LEFT), gay (OUT), Texan, recovering
Southern Baptist living in New York. Billed as a show of "Holly Jolly
Holiday HA-HAs", "LEFT, OUT, .... AND NOT RIGHT!" showcases Paul's
style, which is sarcastic without being caustic, offering hilarious
commentary on dating, current events, religion, pop culture, mixed
in with his own Southern-fried Christmas memories of family gatherings
(NOT RIGHT!). In addition, Paul offers a few fun, holiday-flavored
comedy songs accompanied by fellow Texan Craig Stephan Finally, the
show showcases two of Paul's original characters with a visit to a
backwoods, narrow-minded Baptist Church and it's "fire-and-brimstone"
preacher railing against such evils as Disney and non-Christians,
and a visit from Nelda Pickens, who comes from Paul's brilliant mind
and the world of Texas real estate. She gives audiences a chance to
participate and the great opportunity to observe Paul's mastery of
timing and improvisation Æ if they can catch their breath from laughing!
Paul has made great strides
since his move to New York about 4 years ago, having performed at
Caroline's Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, and Stand-Up New York,
in addition to his recognition by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets
and Clubs. "LEFT, OUT, ... AND NOT RIGHT!" has been previously performed
in New York to excellent reviews, and he is currently working on an
all-character show entitled "DISHING IT OUT," to be performed in New
York in the coming year.
