LEE BATTLE IN "STEP RIGHT UP" AT JUDY'S CHELSEA

Aaron
Lee Battle returns with his acclaimed show "Step Right Up" to JUDY'S
CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/)
with shows on March 20th, 24th, 25th & 28th at 8:30 pm.
In this show, directed
by Eric Michael Gillett (currently in the Broadway show "Sweet Smell
of Success"), Aaron will let his "hair" down and have you laughing
out loud as he takes you through his experiences and fantasies of
his life and career. Under the musical direction of the incomparable
Mark Hartman, you will "step" with Aaron through the ups, downs and
exciting moments in his career.
Aaron Lee Battle is one
of New York City's most exciting vocalists. Aaron, a recipient of
the BACK STAGE "Bistro" Award for Outstanding Vocalist, made his cabaret
debut in 1986.
Originally from Pittsburgh,
PA, Aaron debuted his elegant interpretive style and suave vocalizations
at New York's JASON'S PARK ROYAL in 1986. He was featured in the MAC
(Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs) nominated revue, "Life
is What ...?, with words and music by Dawn Hampton and Robert Peaco,
as well as two tribute shows dedicated to Billy Eckstine and Duke
Ellington. He has performed at the Mabel Mercer Foundations Cabaret
Convention, both in New York and San Francisco and has been featured
in several cabaret rooms in New York City. He also performed regularly
at the legendary FIVE OAKS with Greenwich Village icons Marie Blake
and jazz great Al Bundy.
Aaron was invited to star
for ten weeks as the resident guest artist at "Gunay" in Istanbul,
Turkey; one of the most popular and "happening' clubs in Eastern Europe.
The engagement wound up lasting two years with Aaron traveling throughout
Turkey performing on television variety shows and for top ranking
officials of the Turkish government.
Aaron has just returned
from a successful run as "Jake" in the Henry Krieger/Bill Russell
musical SIDE SHOW. He toured throughout the US, Aruba, Germany and
Northern Europe with several companies of Fats Waller's AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'
and "stole the show" in the Off-Broadway comedy THE COMING OUT PARTY.
