"LIFE IS..." A CELEBRATION TO BENEFIT CHICAGO ACTING COUPLE


Benefit for Suzanne Petri and Robert Breuler, The American Red Cross, Police Chaplain's Ministry, Chicago Fire Department Widows & Orphans Fund, & Edgewater Covenant Church

Suzanne Petri and Robert Breuler, one of Chicago's most beloved entertainment couples, suffered a devastating fire in their Chicago apartment at 5:30 am on March 17th of this year. And in the best tradition of the entertainment world, actors, singers, musicians, producers are rallying around Suzy and Bob with a smashing Benefit and Raffle.

The "LIFE IS..." Benefit will be celebrated Monday, May 6th, 7:00 pm at STEPPENWOLF THEATRE (1650 North Halsted, Chicago, IL - 312-335-1650 - http://www.steppenwolf.org/. Accompanied by popular Chicago musicians, Pat Rusk, George Howe, and composer Chuck Larkin, this Musical Extravaganza boasts some on the biggest musical and acting talents in Chicago. Among them are Steppenwolf's supreme actress Lois Smith, After Dark Award winner Beckie Menzie, the superb Tom Michael, Award-winning cabaret star Alexandra Billings, the lovely Kari Howard, MAC Award-winner Michael McAssey, the irrepressible Chicago pianist Bob Moreen, Underground Wonder Bar's own Lonie Walker, with American Theater Company's delightful Ed Kross as Master of Ceremony.

The evening's Raffle promises to be one of the event's highlights. Great prizes include CDs, Gift Certificates to the Wonder Bar, a Davenport's Cabaret Champagne Evening for two, theatre tickets to top shows in town, a romantic weekend package at the Palmer House Hilton and much more. Joan Curto, who will also be singing that night, is in charge of the Raffle.

Actor/director Suzanne Petri is a member of the American Theater Company, a well known Chicago cabaret star, and president of Chicago Cabaret Professionals. Director/actor Robert Breuler is a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company and has won Jeff Awards for his performances in "Curse of the Starving Class" and "Walk in the Woods."

Suzy and Bob have insisted that some of the proceeds go to the Edgewater Covenant Church, The American Red Cross, Police Chaplain's Ministry, and Chicago Fire Department's Widows and Orphans Fund, {honoring CPD District # 20 and CFD house # 59 respectively}. These organizations were first on the scene and rendered such complete and welcomed assistance the morning of the fire that Bob and Suzy are filled with passionate gratitude.
