BACKSTAGE BISTRO AWARD WINNER, GINA CARUSO RETURNS WITH THE WORLD
IN HER ARMS

Gina
Caruso, a 2002 Backstage Bistro Award winner, brings her critically
acclaimed show, "The World Is In My Arms" back to DON'T TELL MAMA
(343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/)
for two performances only, Friday, March 8th at 7:00 pm and Saturday,
March 9th, at 5:00 pm.
"The World Is In My Arms"
is the first show in which Ms. Caruso introduced four songs by the
late Forman Brown. It was Caruso's show about Forman Brown that won
her the 2002 Backstage Bistro Award as well as being listed as the
Most Memorable Show of 2001 by Stu Hamstra of Cabaret Hotline Online.
The praise has been unanimous from critics and audiences alike.
Caruso's creative team
includes award-winning singer/songwriter, Steven Lutvak, and the talented
and celebrated Musical Director, Paul Trueblood.
"The World Is In My Arms"
is a musical journey from the 1920s to the 1980s and is a mix of rarely
performed songs from the repertoires of Beatrice Lillie and Elsa Lanchester,
from the Traditional American Songbook and by contemporaries like
Peter Allen and Janis lan. Caruso wraps these songs around amusing
dialogue and touching anecdotes and manages to cover the globe in
the process.
