About The Dinettes
Lua Hadar has become a
presence on the SF cabaret scene since her move there from her native
New York City 10 years ago. Her solo cabaret show, "My Foolish Heart,"
introduced audiences to the wide range of musical styles this singer-actress
can deliver. She appeared often at the now closed Piaf's Restaurant
and Cabaret, including Piaf's New Year's Eve show, "We're Still Here!"
This lush-voiced comedienne hosted Martuni's "Song of the Month Club"
for a year together with diva trio "The Kitchenettes," and is the
coproducer of "Thick Tuesdays," a salon for cabaret performance, at
THICK HOUSE THEATER (1695 18th Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-401-8081).
Known for her international cabaret repertoire, she appeared for many
weeks at Union Street's Cafœ de Paris, following a featured concert
in Breno, Italy. Lua performed with Barry Lloyd in an all-French cabaret
program for the opening of the Palace of Legion of Honor's exhibit,
"Toulouse Lautrec & The Spirit of Montmartre: Cabaret, Humor and the
Avant-Garde, 1875-1905." She was a participant in the first West Coast
Cabaret Conference this year, and wowed audiences at THE PLUSH ROOM
at the York Hotel (940 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800

with The Kitchenettes in the cabaret show, "DINE: Where Food and Lust
Burst into Song."
Linda Kosut moved to the
Bay Area nearly 15 years ago from her native New York City where she
began her cabaret career. A smoky contralto, Linda is a stylish, moving
and entertaining performer who has performed at many of the clubs
in San Francisco such as THE PLUSH ROOM at the York Hotel (940 Sutter
Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-885-2800) as a member of The Kitchenettes
in their show, "DINE," JOHNNY FOLEYS IRISH HOUSE & CELLAR (243 O'Farrell
Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-954-0777) Cabaret Spotlight, Berkeley's
Cafœ La Note, MARTUNI'S (4 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-241-0205)
and the former Piaf's. Linda's show "Mister Kicks," performed last
year, showed an array of musical styles and emotions for which she
is known. Watch for her upcoming one-woman cabaret show "The Men's
Room." Linda is a 1990 Fellow of the Cabaret Symposium of the Eugene
O'Neill Theater Center and a participant in this year's first annual
West Coast Cabaret Conference. Along with Lua, she is coproducer of
"Thick Tuesdays," a salon for cabaret performance.

the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 25 years as accompanist to
such cabaret stars as Ruth Hastings, Sharon McNight, Nancy LaMott,
