Gerta Grunen Returns With "A JEWISH GIRL'S CHRISTMAS"

Actress/Singer Gerta Grunen returns to DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) with her popular critically acclaimed holiday show, "A JEWISH GIRL'S CHRISTMAS" for three Sundays in December, the 1st, 8th & 15th. All shows will be at 4:00 pm. Christopher Denny will once again serve as Musical Director with Jered Egan on bass. The show is directed by David Arthur. There is a $12.00 cover and a $10.00 food/drink minimum.

"A JEWISH GIRL'S CHRISTMAS" is a joyous, warm and funny look at the holiday season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah - whatever. Gerta sings Hanukkah songs, perennial favorites, tells zany holiday tales plus some new surprises.

Gerta's previous one-woman shows are "ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE, Accent on the 40s," "A LIGHTER SHADE OF WEILL, Kurt Weill's American Music," and "Cole Porter 90 Stories High." She has appeared at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM, DON'T TELL MAMA, EIGHTY EIGHTS, THE DUPLEX, 55 GROVE STREET, LINCOLN CENTER'S BRUNO WALTER AUDITORIUM, DONNELL LIBRARY AUDITORIUM and JAN WALLMAN'S. Gerta has also appeared Off-Broadway, in touring companies, film, TV and on radio. Her latest film, THE NEXT BIG THING, will be available at video stores the end of October.
