KAREN KOHLER'S "THE MOONS OF VENUS" RETURNS!

Karen Kohler has announced the return of her tribute to Marlene Dietrich, "The Moons of Venus to New York" with shows at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) on Thursdays & Fridays, August 1st & 2nd and 8th & 9th at 8:30 pm. Joining her is the talented pianist/arranger, Uli Geissendoerfer. There is a $12 cover, $10 minimum.

This show celebrates the 100th birthday of the lady Ernest Hemingway described as "knowing more about love than anyone else." Since it's debut last October, it has played to sold-out houses in both the USA and in Germany. The show includes Karen's interpretations of classics like "Falling in Love Again," "Black Market," "Jonny," "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," and "Lili Marleen," and choice quotes from the remarkable men and women she drew into her orbit.

The show on August 8th is PAY WHAT YOU WISH. On this night the cover charge will be waived (though the food/drink minimum will still apply), and a hat will circulate after the show much as it did in the old days.
