Group LBV4 Returns to Don't Tell Mama With "As Time Goes By"
The
vocal group LBV4 will be returning to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th
Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/)
for one show only, on Sunday, September 8th at 4:30 pm with their
third performance of "As Time Goes By." There is a $12 cover, 2-drink
minimum.
Formed in June of 2001
the group consists of Claudia Stack, Joseph Loria, and Debra Courtright.
Accompanist is Katherine Borduin. Their first performance of "As Time
Goes By" was held in Stanford, CT. The program was very well received
and the cast was encouraged to pursue additional venues. Their next
stop was DON'T TELL MAMA in New York City in February of 2002 and
again in May. Since then they have also performed at Liberty State
Park's Summerfest. In October, they will perform as the featured guests
of the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation Benefit.
"As Time Goes By" is a
musical story of one manÍs journey of lust, love, longing and agony
as told through 30s and 40s Standards like "Sentimental Journey,"
"Walking My Baby Back Home," "Where and When," "Cheek to Cheek," "Once
Upon a Time," "Someone to Watch Over Me," "The Colors of My Life,"
"Embraceable You," "You Keep Coming Back Like a Song" and more.
LBV4 is currently in the
process of creating a CD of this program with Frisco Ayala on bass
and Tom Corea on drums. The complete CD should be released by the
middle of next year. The first 10 songs should be available for purchase
on CD by December 2002.
