LEE LESSACK TO PERFORM IN LE DOME AT THE MANOR ON AUGUST 8th

Direct from Los Angeles, celebrated cabaret and recording artist Lee Lessack will bring his acclaimed Mercer tribute show, "Too Marvelous for Words: The Songs of Johnny Mercer," to LE DOME at The Manor (111 Prospect Avenue, West Orange, NJ - 973-731-2360 - http://themanorrestaurant.com/) on Thursday, August 8th. The Cabaret Soiree consists of a 4-course, 4-star dinner and show package, with dinner seatings at 6:00, 6:15, and 6:30 p.m. Showtime is 9:00 p.m. Cost for dinner and show is $69 plus tax & tip. Wait-list "show only" seats available at $36 per person.

The songs of Johnny Mercer from "That Old Black Magic" to "Moon River," "Come Rain or Come Shine" and "Blues in the Night" are among the most recognized and loved of the 20th century. The show mixes Mercer's touching love songs ("I Thought About You," "Skylark," novelty songs ("Whatchamacallit") and autumnal odes ("Autumn Leaves" and "Whistling Away the Dark"). In between, Lee scatters snippets of Mercer's history, just to give audiences a framework of appreciation for the wordsmith, who died in 1976 at age 66.

Mr. Lessack appears regularly in clubs across the country and abroad. He starred in a 50-city national concert tour of "An Enchanted Evening: The Music of Broadway," a musical tribute spanning more than six decades of the best of Broadway. He is also credited as that show's coauthor and producer. His other musical credits include leading roles in Grease, Sweeney Todd, Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, Oklahoma, H.M.S. Pinafore and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. His recent London concert debut was a sold-out engagement at the Jermyn Street Theatre.
