MAC and TIME OUT NEW YORK Present "Working With the Press" Seminar

On Monday, October 28th, at 6:00 pm TIME OUT NEW YORK (TONY) magazine, media sponsor of MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs - http://www.macnyc.com/), is presenting a "Working With the Press Seminar," at THE BLEECKER STREET THEATRE (45 Bleecker Street, NYC). The seminar is open to all MAC members as well as the general public. Panel members will discuss how cabaret, comedy and jazz artists can properly pitch their events to the media to get listings, coverage, photo placements, etc. There will be a Question & Answer period for attendees. General admission is $10 and MAC members are $5. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations necessary.

Three Editors from TONY will participate on the panel. They are H. Scott Jolley, Cabaret Editor; Joe Grossman, Comedy Editor; and Mike Wolf, Associate Music Editor. Two MAC Board Members, Shelley Roberts, Director of Press Relations for the NEW JERSEY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (One Center Street, Newark, NJ - 888-466-5722 - http://www.njpac.org) , and Sidney Myer, Booking Manager for DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/), will be the panel moderators.
