Matsuki & Toroian Bring "Jam N Toasts" to Mama's in July


Sue Matsuki & Musical Director, Gregory Toroian, who recently released their triumphant debut MAC-Nominated CD, "A New Take" continue the celebration of their six-year collaboration by bringing back a show that opened in February called, JAM N TOASTS. The show will be performed at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) on Wednesday's July 17th, 24th & 31st at 9:15 pm. The show is also booked at a private event at the Garden State Yacht Club in NJ in July; at THE CABARET at Odette's (South River Road, New Hope, PA - 215-862-3000 - http://www.odettes.com/) in September; and at the AMORE CAFE (192 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, MA - 508-757-3104 - http://www.amorecafe.com in November.

Sue Matsuki is a cabaret veteran, an enthusiastic and courageous explorer of the genre. During the last 15 year's she has appeared in Manhattan at Arci's Place, The Village Gate, Danny's Skylight Room, Don't Tell Mama, Judy's Chelsea, The Duplex, Jan Wallman's, Roses Turn, Kelly's Eighty Eights, The Gardenia in Los Angeles and at the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival in Alaska. Matsuki has collaborated with a number of directors and musicians and has explored a wide range of themes and musical styles all as an exercise in growth. Critics agree that Matsuki's hard work and obvious devotion to cabaret provide her with a wisdom and polish that only performers who are willing to put in the miles acquire.

Gregory Toroian has produced and musically directed the revue "How Do You Keep The Music Playing, the music of Michel Legrand" that toured nationally and in Canada. He has also toured with Jane Oliver and has served as pianist for Jon Hendricks, Cab Calloway, Donna Summer, Tony Bennett and Katy Corick in her cabaret singer Dream Job segment on The Today Show.
