Jaymie Meyer Returns To Odette's To Debut New Show


Jaymie Meyer, the Bistro Award-winning vocalist, will return for her third engagement at THE CABARET at Odette's (South River Road, New Hope, PA - 215-862-3000 - http://www.odettes.com/) on Friday & Saturday, September 13th & 14th, at 8:00 pm. She will be performing her new show, "Standard Measures - Gems From The Great American Songbook." There will be a $16.00 music charge and an $8.00 food or drink minimum.

Ms. Meyer's brand new act will feature the works of Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Dietz & Schwartz, Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, Fran Landesman, Peggy Lee, Stephen Sondheim and others. Wes McAfee, who served as musical director and arranger on her CD, "What You'd Call A Dream," will join Ms. Meyer at the piano. Boots Maleson will accompany on bass.

Jaymie Meyer has worked extensively in theatre and cabaret. Her debut one-woman show received a Bistro Award as well as a MAC Award nomination for Outstanding Female Vocalist. Her other New York appearances include numerous engagements at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room, the Russian Tea Room, and Danny's, as well as many appearances at the annual Cabaret Convention at Town Hall.

Originally from Miami, FL, she has appeared on NETV, which broadcast her appearance with Michael Murphy at the Brownville Concert Series. She also brought her one-woman show to the Kennedy Center's "Millennium Stage" in Washington, DC.

Starting September 22nd, for six Sundays, Ms. Meyer will be featured in PLACES, PLEASE, a musical review of the music of Francesca Blumenthal at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/).
