THE STOREFRONT presents NEW MONDAYS in June & July at THE DUPLEX


Six evenings of new music by contemporary songwriters..

The Storefront Theatre's new series, NEW MONDAYS, will be held at THE DUPLEX (61 Christopher Street, NYC - 212-255-5438 - http://www.theduplex.com/) this June and July. The basic format is that each Monday at 7:00 pm, three songwriters will gather to present 3 or 4 of their new compositions, shedding light on new work from both new and established composers. There is a $12 cover, and a two-drink minimum. The schedule is as follows:

Monday, June 3rd: George Wurzbach, Julie Gold, Tim DiPasqua
Monday, June 10th: Brett Kristofferson, David Friedman, Rick Jensen
Monday, June 17th: D. Jay Bradley, Michael John LaChiusa, Sean Michael Flowers
Monday, June 24th: Marcus Simeone, Jason Robert Brown, Tom Andersen & Ian Herman
Monday, July 1st: Mark Hartman, John Wallowitch, Gerry Dieffenbach
Monday, July 8th: John Bucchino, Amanda Green, Stephen Schwartz
Monday, July 15th: Karen Mack, Andrew Lippa, Michael Holland

The Storefront was founded in late 1999 and to date, the company has presented a multitude of productions, each earning critical praise and near capacity crowds. Most recently, the young company debuted a new version of the Charles Strouse/Stephen Schwartz/Joe Stein musical, RAGS, starring Anne Runolfsson and Leslie Kritzer. Past productions include revues of the music of Stephen Schwartz, John Bucchino and Brett Kristofferson, as well as the smash hit and MAC Award-winning 70's cabaret revue, "Gashole: The Wit and Wisdom of the 70's."
