"Much Ado About Broadway" Debuts at Stoneham Theatre

The popular, talented trio of Kathy St. George, Bobbie Steinbach and Robert Saoud will return to the stage of STONEHAM THEATRE (395 Main Street, Stoneham, MA - 781-279-2200 - http://www.stonehamtheatre.org/) on Saturday, Aug 24th, at 8:00 pm and Sunday, Aug 25th, at 2:00 pm for their new production, "Much Ado About Broadway," a tribute to the Broadway songbook featuring music of Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Rogers and Hammerstein and many more. "Much Ado About Broadway" is a colorful evening packed with music from a century of Broadway favorites. Tickets are $25 ($21 students/seniors) and may be purchased by calling the box office or on the website.

Kathy St. George, a Stoneham native, appeared in "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," at Stuart Street Playhouse in Boston. She won the 2001 IRNE Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Das Barbecu" at the New Repertory Theatre and in "Holidaze" at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

Bobbie Steinbach was named Outstanding Actress in a Small Company at the 2001 Elliot Norton Awards for her performances in "Stonewall Jackson's House" at the New Repertory Theatre, "Sailing Down the Amazon" at the Women on Top Festival and "Over the River and Through the Woods" at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

Robert Saoud has been seen in a wide variety of roles at The Huntington Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, The Lyric Stage Company of Boston, The Publick Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Stoneham Theatre, the Penobscot Theatre and the LA Public Theatre. Most recently, Robert was on stage in the Lyric Stage Company's production of "Lend Me a Tenor." In May he was the recipient of the 2002 George Spelvin On Stage Award from Stoneham Theatre.
