SUSAN NEUFFER'S "Mysterious Woman" SHOW EXTENDED AT DON'T TELL MAMA

Susan Neuffer returns to DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) with her new solo cabaret show, "Mysterious Woman." Directed by Lisa Asher, with musical direction by Gerry Dieffenbach, the show will run on Saturday, December 22nd, at 4:00 pm, and returns in 2002 on Monday, January 21st and Friday, January 25th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, February 10th at 3:00 pm. There is a $10.00 cover plus a 2-drink minimum.

Ms. Neuffer's show is a mix of musical styles from the 30s to the 90s. She will perform songs by contemporary songwriters Steven Lutvak and Gerry Dieffenbach along with classics by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and songs recorded by Patti LaBelle, Jo Dee Messina, and Danny Kaye.

Susan studied piano and classical voice and has sung with numerous choral groups. She also played bass and keyboards, and wrote for several rock bands in the 1980s, performing at such clubs as CBGB and the Bitter End.

She earned a masters degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and save for a contribution to the school talent show, stopped singing for a few years, while working in public service. A college friend encouraged Susan to audition for the prestigious Oratorio Society of New York, with whom she sang for three seasons. She switched to cabaret workshops taught by Helen Baldassare, and has performed in several performance workshops with Ms. Baldassare and Teri Lynn Paul, as well as the "New Voices of 1998" revue and the Musical Theatre Workshop at Juilliard.

Susan presented her debut cabaret show, "No Fool for Love Songs," in the fall of 2000 at Rose's Turn and Don't Tell Mama.
