JULY IS CABARET MONTH at The Inn on Newfound Lake


At Last and Valerie Sneade Productions is bringing a celebration of cabaret dinner shows and demonstrations rarely seen outside of New York City for five dates in July! JULY IS CABARET MONTH is taking place on July 5th, 6th, 12th, 19th & 26th at Pasquany Restaurant at the Inn on New Found Lake (Route 3A, Bridgewater, NH - 603-744-9111 - http://www.newfoundlake.com/). Dinner served at 6:30 pm, all shows at 8:00 pm Reservations strongly recommended.

Opening the series on July 5th & 6th will be the IRNE nominated Boston based musical revue "At The Movies." This revue features Brian Patton, Will McMillan, Michael Ricca, and Nina Vansuch. On July 12th John O'Neil performs his critically acclaimed show "'So Kaye: The Danny Kaye Songbook" with special opening act, Manny Lim. On July 19th, Carol O'Shaughnessy who has been dubbed "The Queen of Boston Cabaret," joins forces with Boston's Jan Peters in a Judy Garland/Liza Minnelli tribute called "That's Entertainment." Closing out the series will be the IRNE award winning Valerie Sneade in "Her Name Is Barbra: A Tribute To Streisand." Joining Sneade will be Robert St. Germain who is currently lead male vocalist for Royal Caribbean's Royal Majesty. Jim Rice is the accompanist, music director and music arranger for "'So Kaye," "That's Entertainment," and "Her Name Is Barbra."

JULY IS CABARET MONTH came to life after the recent and successful Newfound Lake, NH CABARETFEST! (http://www.cabaretfest.com/) which took place in April. The festival was sponsored by The Inn on Newfound Lake and The Federal House Inn.

Friday, July 5th: "At The Movies: Songs of the 50s & 60s"
Featuring Will McMillan, Brian Patton, Michael Ricca, Nina Vansuch

Will McMillan, Michael Ricca, and Nina Vansuch met at the 1999 O'Neill Theater Center's Cabaret Symposium. That fall they teamed with pianist, singer and musical director Brian Patton to create "At The Movies." This sparkling revue celebrates movie music from the 50s and 60s with lush harmonies, playful staging, and new spins on old favorites by Burt Bacharach, Michael Legrand, Henry Mancini, Lennon & McCartney, and others. A recent performance of "At The Movies" was standing room only at Boston's famous SCULLERS JAZZ CLUB (400 Soldiers Field Road, Allston, MA - 617-562-4111 - http://www.scullersjazz.com/) in September.

Saturday, July 6th: "At The Movies: Fully Animated"
Featuring Will McMillan, Brian Patton, Michael Ricca, Nina Vansuch

Will McMillan, Brian Patton, Michael Ricca, and Nina Vansuch teamed up again and created a sequel to "At The Movies." "Fully Animated" features a new takes on old favorites from animated films and TV shows, including "The Aristocats," "A Bug's Life," "Yellow Submarine," and "South Park." Praised for their fresh arrangements, and unique vocal sound, "Fully Animated" is sure to delight the audience once again Æ with songs by Jerry Livingston, Randy Newman, Peggy Lee, Lennon & McCartney, and more.

Friday, July 12th: "'So Kaye: The Danny Kaye Songbook"
Featuring John O'Neil, opening act Manny Lim, Jim Rice on piano

This show includes songs, stories and monologues culled from Mr. Kaye's illustrious career. In "'So Kaye," Mr. O'Neil brings back the song stylings of a bygone era and celebrates Mr. Kaye's Judaic roots, his love of family and children as well as Mr. O'Neil's own Irish heritage. Laurels were extended when "'So Kaye" was nominated for an IRNE award by the Independent Reviewers of New England.

Friday, July 19th: "That's Entertainment: The Music of Garland & Minnelli"
Featuring Carol O'Shaughnessy & Jan Peters, Jim Rice on piano

"That's Entertainment: The Music of Judy Garland & Liza Minnelli" celebrates the musical careers of two of the world's best loved and legendary entertainers with selections they immortalized in movies, television, recordings, concert halls and on the Broadway stage. This show is performed by two of Boston's finest (and also favorites), Carol O'Shaughnessy & Jan Peters. Carol O'Shaughnessy has been dubbed "The Queen of Boston Cabaret" and has been regaling audiences for over 30 years. Jan Peters has been described as "infectiousŸbright and breezyŸa sharp witŸ a powerhouse." This show is a must see!

Friday, July 26th: "Her Name Is Barbra: A Tribute To Streisand"
Featuring Valerie Sneade, opening act Robert St. Germain, Jim Rice on piano, Steve Skop on bass

2001 IRNE award winning Valerie Sneade wows audiences in what many call her "tour de force performance." In "Her Name Is Barbra," Sneade performs twenty songs that Streisand recorded in her forty-plus year singing career. This show is directed by Ida Zecco with musical direction and arrangements by Jim Rice.
