Melissa Read Makes Solo Cabaret Debut at LUNARIA

Jazz vocalist Melissa Read will be performing a show entitled ALL THAT JAZZ at LUNARIA RESTAURANT AND JAZZ CLUB (10351 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA - 310-282-8870) on Thursday, October 24th at 9:00 pm. Melissa will sing jazz and standards from the Great American Songbook, accompanied by her trio which features Ed Martel on piano, Joel Hamilton on bass and Glenn Ochenkoski on drums. Featured songwriters of the evening include Hoagy Carmichael, Fats Waller and George and Ira Gershwin. There is an $8 cover charge, no minimum.

Melissa has begun to sing in the Los Angeles over this past year, beginning at the open mic at THE GARDENIA (7066 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA - 323-467-7444) and "Mundy's on Tuesday" hosted by Mary Jo Mundy. This summer, Melissa made a demo CD and has begun doing book shows in the LA area.
