San Francisco Cabaret Competition Accepting Entries
Cash Prizes Awarded
in 5 categories: Male, Female, Ensemble, Debut, Variety
The competition is for
the veteran performer as well as those who have always had the dream
of being on stage and begins March 28th and will run weekly until
the finals, scheduled for June 27th. The semifinals will be held on
June 6th, 13th and 20th. All rounds will be held at JOHNNY FOLEYS
IRISH HOUSE & CELLAR (243 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco, CA - 415-954-0777).

or by phone 707-257-0408. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS MARCH 22, 2002.
Mail the completed application
to Wayne Sutton at P.O. Box 2241, Napa, CA 94558 together with a head
shot or photo and your $15 entry fee made payable to Wayne Sutton.
Winners of each category will be booked for a 20-minute spot in a
special show at FOLEY'S. Each category winner will receive $100 with
the overall highest point winner throughout the competition crowned
as "Cabaret Entertainer of the Year" and will receive $500.
Scoring will be 50% by
audience vote and 50% by judges with 100 points maximum per night.
Each performer will be allotted 8-10 minutes. All contestants will
be required to sign a release allowing televising all or portions
of their performance.
