Jane Scheckter in "Some of My Best Friends" at Danny's

Shows set for Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in May.

Tedd Firth and Chip Jackson accompany in program of songs by her friends and colleagues, Jane Scheckter will appear in "Some of My Best Friends ... Are Songwriters" at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) on Mondays & Wednesdays, May 6th, 8th, 13th, 15th, 20th and 22nd. All performances will be at 7:00 pm. There is a $15 cover charge and $10 food or drink minimum.

Accompanying her in this program of songs written by the singer's friends, colleagues and performing partners past and present, will be Tedd Firth on piano and Chip Jackson on bass. The show is directed by Erv Raible.

Songwriters represented range from 81-year-old Lew Spence to 18-year-old Peter Cincotti. Other songwriters whose works are featured include Francesca Blumenthal, Dottie Burman, Eric Comstock, Charles deForest, Tim DiPasqua, Bob Feinberg, Tedd Firth, Jeff Harris, Jess Korman, Mickey Leonard, Nicholas Levin, Martha Lorin, Barry Manilow, Shelly Markham, Amanda McBroom, John Meyer, Bob Miles, Marty Panzer, Erv Raible, Roger Schore, John Wallowitch and Ronny Whyte.

The show has a strong jazz flavor and songs range from ballads to swing to comedy, and includes one song that is just four months old; from popular standards to little- known gems.
