Kate Shindle's One Woman Show & CD "TILL TODAY" Premieres in Chicago

Former Miss America (1998) and current Broadway actress Kate Shindle will perform her new show "Till Today" the CABARET ROOM at the Royal George Hotel (1641 North Halsted Street, Chicago, IL - 312-988-9000) on Friday & Saturday, August 2nd & 3rd at 8:00 pm. She will be accompanied by award-winning pianist, Chuck Larkin. Tickets are $25. Reservations can be made through the box office or through TicketMaster (312-559-1212).

Kate is best known to Broadway audiences for the starring role of Sally Bowles in CABARET (for which she also did the national tour) and Lucy in JEKYLL & HYDE. As a Northwestern graduate, Kate is no stranger to Chicago. SSP Records will be releasing Kate Shindle's debut solo CD, "Till Today," online at http://www.kateshindle.net in early August and will be distributed nationwide in September.

In "Till Today," Kate shares her favorite standards "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" and "New York State of Mind" as well as original music from Chicago songwriter, Chuck Larkin, and composers Jason Robert Brown and Frank Wildhorn. This production unites the MAC Award-winning musical direction of Chuck Larkin and Chicago's Skip Sams, Executive Producer of the show and the CD.

In recognition of the many achievements that Kate has made in raising public awareness and funding for HIV/AIDS, SSP Records is donating $1 for each CD sold to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation .
