Warren's "WORDS FOR THE WISE" at DANNY'S and JUDY'S CHELSEA
Love,
Sex and Vitamin C abound in Clark Warren's new show "WORDS FOR THE
WISE" will be performed at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street,
NYC - 212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/)
on Wednesday, October 9th and Tuesday, the 15th, both shows at 7:00
pm. Mr. Warren then moves the show to JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue,
NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/)
on Sundays, November 10th and 17th at 5:30 pm. Clark's extra special
guest, Linda Fields, appears at the shows at JUDY'S only. Clark's
musical director/accompanist is Frank Underwood.
Countless lyricists have
long written songs offering us advise on love, sex and yes, vitamin
C, and you'll want to hear some of them, among the pop/jazz songs
in "WORDS FOR THE WISE."
Mr. Warren's business
card simply reads "Voice," since working that instrument has always
been his only business. From major-brand TV voice overs, to his six
years singing in Manhattan cabaret, to his recent appearance at New
York's BIRDLAND, Clark has shared a lifetime of entertaining, on Broadway,
on radio, TV and nightclubs with appreciative reviewers and fans.
Frank Underwood's Broadway
show "Lovely Ladies, Kind Gentlemen" (based on "Tea House of the August
Moon"), music and lyrics with Stan Freeman, played the Majestic Theatre
in 1970. His original songs have been recorded by Lena Horn, Sammy
Davis, Jr., Carol Slone, Robert Goulet and Blossom Dearie among many
others.
