MAC & BISTRO WINNER JULIE REYBURN OPENS HER NEW SHOW "BLACKBIRD" AT JUDY'S CHELSEA

Julie Reyburn teams up again with the 2002 Bistro Winning Music Director, Mark Janas bringing her new show "Blackbird" to JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) this September. The show will open on Thursday September 12th and will be repeated on Friday, the 13th and Saturday the 14th. All shows are at 8:30 pm - those wishing to have dinner before the show are reminded that no food orders are taken after 7:45 pm. There is a $15 cover, $12 food/drink minimum.

Following a successful sold out preview on August 29th, "Blackbird" is a show based on hope and healing in the wake of the anniversary of September 11th. With arrangements by Mark Janas, the song list includes songs by Paul Simon, Pete Townshend, Irving Berlin, Adam Guettel, David/Bacharach, and more. The wonderful Ritt Henn is on Bass and Suzanne Abbott is providing background vocals.

Julie was most recently seen at the PRINCE MUSIC THEATER (1412 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA - 215-569-9700 - http://www.princemusictheater.org/) in Philadelphia for the First Annual Philadelphia Cabaret Convention sponsored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation. This past Spring, Julie was a featured performer at Town Hall in "The Broadway Musicals of 1940," written and produced by Scott Siegel. The cast recording CD of the same name was released this summer on Bayview Records.

Currently, Julie can be seen on Wednesday nights at DON'T TELL MAMA (343 West 46th Street, NYC - 212-757-0788 - http://www.donttellmama.com/) as part of the wonderful cast of "Mikey Writes It - Songs of Michael Holland" through September 11th. In October, Julie will return to Town Hall as part of The 13th Annual Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention.
