Davis' Rising Stars" Part of Chip Deffaa Invitational
Ryan Davis is searching
for stars at the CHIP DEFFAA INVITATIONAL, October 2nd, 3rd & 4th,
with his new show, "Ryan Davis' Rising Stars" at CAFE CHASHAMA (111
West 42nd Street, NYC or SmartTix: 212-206-1515 - http://www.smarttix.com/).
Showtime is 5:00 pm. All tickets are $15. Ten percent of the box office
receipts will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Over 50 people will perform
over three days to earn the title of "Best In The Festival." Anyone
college and high school age was eligible to audition, and most participate
were selected from an open call. "Ryan Davis' Rising Stars" features
different types of performers, from vocalist and pianist, to stand
up comics.
Mr. Davis has been showcasing
new talent since he began working in theatre two years ago. He has
produced several cabaret shows, that featured young talent. His biggest
project was "The Hero's Benefit," that featured the talent of Tony
Roberts and Louise Pitre, among others and was presented at THE TRIAD
(158 West 72nd Street, NYC - 212-362-2590).
