BADOMI DE CESARE IS HEADIN' WEST AT JUDY'S

Chanteuse Badomi DeCesare, who has been compared to Marlene Dietrich, Anna Magnani and David Bowie (!), is going "Country" for her new show at JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 1-212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) every Thursday in March (the 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th) at 8:30 pm. In her show "Badomi DeCesare: Almost Texas," Ms. DeCesare will sing famous and not so famous country western songs, branding them once and for all with her own unique style, backed up by an authentic 7-piece band. Songs that Badomi will offer will include "Ricochet Romance," "Heartaches," "I Fall to Pieces," and "Love Me Tender." There will be a $10 Cover Charge and a $10 food and/or drink minimum.

Badomi DeCesare has been asked back to perform at Judy's after three very successful engagements at this Chelsea Supper Club in the last two years. She will be accompanied by a 7-piece authentic country band, whose members include Steve Alcott (bass), Spanky Davis (trumpet), Dan Hovey (guitar), Joe Kerr (piano), Bob Mastro (fiddle), Dave Sonneborn (drums), John Widgren (peddle steel guitar), with Skip Krevens as alternate for peddle steel guitar.

Badomi DeCesare began her career as part of the Charles Ludlum Ridiculous Theatrical Company and then Jeff Weiss's El Coyote group. She conceived and starred in a one-woman musical play, "Kiss Me, Kill Me," for Dance Theatre Workshop. She played outstanding engagements at The Ballroom and the West Bank Cafe, then was brought to Paris, where she appeared at the Palais DeGlace, and later in Amsterdam at the famed De Ijbreker. She met an international financier in Paris, they fell in love, and she left show business. They lived in Paris, Switzerland, Ireland, London, Budapest, and finally Bermuda. But when the love of her life passed away, after eleven years of marriage, she decided to return in 2001 to the place that has always been her first love, New York, and its clubs.
