The premiere performances of Cabaret at Cafe 828 feature San Diego favorite Bettina Warren. Bettina is well-known for her many theatrical performances in San Diego as well as a number of years of experience in clubs and on stage in Philadelphia, New York, and other cities. Bettina embodies the style of cabaret performances enjoyed by audiences worldwide while giving her own passionate approach to the music she loves to bring to life. Her act includes stories told in her own inimitable style and songs including her Broadway favorites, beloved standards, contemporary tunes and some surprises.

Bettina is accompanied by Jim Bianchi, Mission Hills resident and co-owner of Scott James. Jim is also well-known to San Diego audiences. Jim is the pianist at the Horton Plaza Nordstrom and currently entertains at the Bahia Hotel.

While SMGO is new to San Diego, producers Tom Warren and Sher Krieger have years of experience producing and facilitating successful corporate, family and group events all over the US. SMGO is pleased to be associated with Cafe 828, one of the Gaslamp's best kept secrets. Cafe 828 offers California cuisine with a French flair by chef and owner Jay Greenfield. The Cafe's unpretentious atmosphere and affable servers contribute personal charm to the eclectic menu. Cafe 828's beautiful bar belonged to Joan Crawford. While at the Cafe be sure to look for the high heel holes where the movie star danced the night away on this historic bar in her home in Italy.
