HAMPTONS CABARET CONVENTION SET FOR JULY

For the first time ever, the Hamptons will celebrate the Great American Popular Song when the Mabel Mercer Foundation and Guild Hall join forces to produce the Hamptons Cabaret Convention on July 18th, 19th & 20th at the JOHN DREW THEATER (East Hampton, NY - 631-324-4050). Twelve different singers will take the stage at 8 o'clock on those evenings to salute the music and lyrics that continue to enrich all our lives.

The Mabel Mercer Foundation Cabaret Convention is part of Guild Hall's "American Originals Summer Season 2003." All tickets are available exclusively at the John Drew box office. Prices range from $100 (prime orchestra seating, plus garden reception with the artists) to $75 (box seats), $40 (remainder of the orchestra) and $25 (balcony).

Founded in 1985 by executive director Donald F. Smith, the Mabel Mercer Foundation is a not-for-profit arts organization that perpetuates the memory of the legendary artist Mabel Mercer. In October 2003, the Foundation will present the 14th annual Cabaret Convention in New York City's Town Hall. Its sell-out success has now been matched by similar triumphs in Chicago, San Francisco, Palm Springs and Philadelphia.
