Jeremy
Ebenstein Returns to Miss Elle's
22 year-old pop artist
Jeremy Ebenstein presents an eclectic evening of song in a return
engagement at MISS ELLE'S (226 West 79th Street, NYC - 1-212-864-1829)
on Thursday, March 27th at 8:00 pm. He will be performing tunes by
Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter, Frank Wildhorn & Leslie Bricusse, Anthony
Newley, Lennon & McCartney, and others. Ebenstein will be assisted
for the evening by his musical director David Graham. There's a $10.00
cover charge in advance, $15.00 at the door.
Ebenstein, an actor as
well as a vocalist, drew raves for his work in last fall's Off-Off
Broadway musical "Albert and Alice," and will include songs from that
show during his evening at Miss Elle's. He is currently in rehearsal
for "Epimenides," a new musical based on Greek mythology, scheduled
to open in New York this May. He will also be appearing in the independent
film "Dumb Geniuz," which is slated to go into production late this
year.
Ebenstein, whose repertoire
includes pop, R&B, jazz and show tunes, made his debut at Miss Elle's
last December. Other musical appearances include DON'T TELL MAMA,
The New Jersey Idol Contest and the NY COMEDY CLUB.
Musical director David
Graham has toured throughout the world with such groups as Grand Funk
Railroad, The Guess Who, Rare Earth, The Bottom Line and BTO. A keyboardist,
guitarist, producer, and singer/songwriter, he is currently performing
with "Eye To Eye," a nine-piece East Coast R&B group. Graham has recorded
and produced two CDs and is currently working on a third. Graham and
Ebenstein are also working together on writing some new tunes for
a collaborative CD.
