JILLANN GABRIELLE MAKES NEW YORK DEBUT AT DANNY'S

Singer and comedienne Jillann Gabrielle makes her New York City debut with her show "Starstrucker!" at DANNY'S SKYLIGHT ROOM (342 West 46th Street, NYC - 1-212-265-8133 - http://www.dannysgrandseapalace.com/) with shows on Mondays, November 17th at 9:15 pm, December 1st at 9:15 pm, and December 8th at 7:00 pm. Ms. Gabrielle is a Chicago chanteuse coming from a major career in the worlds of musical theater and opera. Music direction by Russ Long of Chicago, directed by Erv Raible. There will be a $15.00 music charge and a $10.00 food/drink minimum.

In her show "Starstrucker!" Jillann takes you on her journey from childhood to Danny's, very near Broadway! Through childhood productions, high school musicals, folk groups, pop groups, the opera world, singing in church, Jewish women's clubs, her own theater company, all the while, dragging out her inspirations along the way. A festive romp through a very eclectic musical life!

Jillann has toured nationally with her one-woman show Hits From Broadway, Movies & Opera for the past 20 years. Jillann was part of the debut group of nationwide students attending The 2003 Cabaret Conference at Yale University. As producer, artistic director, music director and performer with Paradise Productions, her Chicago-based theater company since 1993, Jillann has starred in musicals including: Peter Pan, The Secret Garden, The Wizard Of Oz, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Jerry's Girls and Into The Woods. Jillann has appeared in other Chicago and regional productions including: Side By Side ~ By Sondheim, Clue The Musical, Promises, Promises, The Robber Bridegroom, Evita, Phantom Of The Opera, Oklahoma and The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

Leading roles in opera productions range from La Voix Humaine, The Telephone and Hin and Zuruck to Sunday Excursion, Dido and Aeneus and The Civil War. Jillann is one of Chicago's major vocal coaches and has taught and produced monthly showcases for her students since 1981.
