Kevin Smith Kirkwood in "It's Me Baby, It's Kevin" at Rose's Turn

Kevin Smith Kirkwood, "Black Trixie" of the famed Kinsey Sicks, flips his wig for three nights in his new one-man cabaret show entitled "It's Me Baby, It's Kevin," at UPSTAIRS AT ROSE'S TURN (55 Grove Street, NYC - 1-212-366-5438 - http://www.rosesturn.com/) on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 19th & 20th at 7:00 pm, and Tuesday, August 26th at 9:00 pm. There is a $15 cover, 2-drink minimum.

Kevin Smith Kirkwood is the newest member of America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, The Kinsey Sicks. Hailed as "an electrifying, young talent from the New York theater scene," Kevin stimulates audiences emotions with his gorgeous, soulful voice while singing everything from Broadway standards and tearful ballads to contemporary R&B and soul. Add colorful monologues, slick dance moves, and quick comic timing and you have his newest cabaret show.

"It's Me Baby, It's Kevin" is a touching and often hilarious narration of Kevin's coming-of-age journey from precocious Midwestern youth to boisterous New York stage sensation. Interweaving anecdotes of his formative trials and tribulations with irresistible songs by Fats Waller, Three Dog Night, and Luther Vandross, Kevin offers an intimate view of his personal and musical background.

Kevin is currently wowing audiences internationally singing with the Kinsey Sicks and is no stranger to the worlds of theater and cabaret. He has performed Off-Broadway at the legendary Studio 54 and traveled the globe on various Broadway National and European tours including "Godspell," "Grease," and "Jesus Christ Superstar." Kevin's previous hit cabaret performance, "Impossible Bitch," played to three sold-out audiences at THE DUPLEX.
