Lau in "SunRice" in Melbourne Festival
Rick
Lau will perform as part of the "Chapel Off Chapel, Asialink & Midsumma
Festival" with his show "SunRice a Cabaret" on Friday through Sunday,
January 24th through 26th at CHAPEL OFF CHAPEL (12 Little Chapel Street,
Prahran, Melbourne, AUS - Bookings 03-8290-7000). The show is written
by Rick Lau and Tony Taylor, directed by Tony Taylor and Lindsay Partridge
serves as Musical Director. Admission is $22.
Having recently performed
as a Special Guest at the 2002 Sydney Cabaret Convention and in the
popular musical "Naked Boys Singing!," Rick was a graduate of NIDA's
first Singer, Actor, Dancer Program. Rick has since produced, written
and performed in his 2 sell-out one-man cabaret shows: "SunRice" and
"I know where I'm going... I think."
Rick's other stage credits
include the lead role in "Four x Twenty," "Elegies for Angels Punks
and Raging Queens," "Eureka," "Looney Tunes," "Pacific Overtures"
and "Count of Luxembourg." He also recently appeared as Dr. Ziyang
on TV Drama series "All Saints." Rick is also the Creative Director
of Theatre 4A.
