Karen Mason Performs Film Songs at KING KONG ROOM

After co-starring in Mamma Mia! on Broadway for several years, singer-actress Karen Mason brings a new show of film standards to KING KONG ROOM at the Supper Club (240 West 47th Street, NYC - 1-212-921-1904 - http://www.KingKongRoom.com/) on Monday, August 18th at 8:30 pm. Christopher Denny joins Ms. Mason as Pianist/Musical Director. There is a $25 Cover and a $15 food/drink minimum.

Ms. Mason, one of Broadway and cabaretês most powerful performers, will sing songs from movies she watched growing upÄon the big screen and the small. The centerpiece of the act comes when she pays tribute to her film heroines: Doris Day, Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland, and sings their signature songs ("Secret Love," "People" and "Get Happy"). She also transforms the Beatlesê "Just To Dance With You" from A Hard Dayês Night into a romantic ballad.
