McAssey Returns to NYC With Anniversary Show

Music Group is proud to announce the return of MAC Award winner, Michael
McAssey, to New York City this October, opening at NYC's newest cabaret
venue, MAMA ROSE'S (219 Second Avenue, NYC - 212-533-0558 - http://www.mamaroses.net/)
with an encore presentation of his critically acclaimed 20th anniversary
show. While in NYC, Michael will also make his second appearance at
TOWN HALL for the MABEL MERCER Foundation's 14th annual CABARET CONVENTION.
Mr. McAssey will perform Fridays, October 17th and 24th at 9:30 pm
and Sundays, October 19th and 26th at 7:00 pm. There is a $15.00 cover,
2-drink minimum. There is a $5
discount for CABARET HOTLINE ONLINE & MAC members.
His appearance at Town Hall will be on Friday, October 24th.
Mr. McAssey
is a winner and 3-time nominee of the MAC AWARD for Outstanding Male
Vocalist, presented in New York by the Manhattan Association of Cabarets.
His Cabaret debut was in 1982 at THE DUPLEX and he was one of the
first performers to appear at DON'T TELL MAMA'S, where he made his
home for many years. Michael has appeared at Freddie's, The 5 Oaks,
Eighty Eight's, The Nancy LaMott Room at Bradstan Hotel, Odette's
in New Hope, Studio Six in Atlantic City, John L's in Dallas, Toulouse
on the Park and the Gentry Clubs in Chicago, as well as The Gardenia
in LA.
He has appeared
on Broadway in "Late Nite Comic," Off-Broadway in "A Hard Time to
be Single," and "In Gay Company." Soap opera fans may remember him
as blind singer-pianist George Baldwin on CBS-TV's "Guiding Light."
He appeared with Barbara Cook and Patti LuPone in Paris, and has toured
the nation as a pianist for such shows as JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR
DREAMCOAT, starring Donny Osmond. He co-starred as Banjo in THE MAN
WHO CAME TO DINNER with Tony-nominee Andre De Shields and hosted the
concert version of "Company," at the famous Pegasus Players in Chicago.
