Jeffrey Miller returns to Judy's Chelsea in I LOVE TO SING!

Jeffrey Miller, a tenor equally at home in opera, cabaret, and musical comedy, returns to JUDY'S CHELSEA (169 Eighth Avenue, NYC - 1-212-929-5410 - http://www.judyschelsea.com/) for four performances only in January with I LOVE TO SING! In this show Jeffrey shifts from Puccini and Verdi to Cy Coleman, the Beatles and Jonathan Larson (Jeffrey created a leading role in SAVED!   AN IMMORAL MUSICAL ON THE MORAL MAJORITY, the very first musical by the creator of RENT). At the piano is David Brunetti, who also musically directed Jeffrey's previous sold-out engagement at JUDY'S CHELSEA. Performances are Saturday nights, January 11th and 18th, and Tuesday nights, January 14th and 21st. All performances begin at 8:30 pm. There is a $15 cover and $12 food/drink minimum.

Mr. Miller was born in the Bronx and raised on Long Island where he received his BFA in acting at Adelphi University. Jeffrey suppressed his desires to perform in favor of weekly paychecks at his uncle's Manhattan hair salon. Not content with merely shearing the heads of his Tony and Oscar-winning clients, Jeffrey found occasional opportunities to get up and sing at corporate industrials and weddings. One of Jeffrey's clients, a mover and shaker at the Metropolitan Opera, suggested that Jeffrey immerse himself in the classical genre after listening to one of Jeffrey's performances on tape. Jeffrey took his advice and soon found himself singing roles in productions of THE MAGIC FLUTE and PRINCESS IDA, and workshops of MANON, DON GIOVANNI, FIDELIO and FAUST.

While still wielding a blow dryer during the day, Jeffrey took the plunge and produced his first CD, appropriately entitled "Jeffrey," a mix of classical opera arias and Broadway standards. It brought his music to hundreds of his clients and executives at Atlantic and Sony Classics who were most impressed with Jeffrey's wide repertoire. The fans at OutVoice.com put the CD at #1 in their weekly top-ten listing, and WAZR, based in Washington, DC, devoted an entire afternoon program to "Jeffrey."
